Somehow, "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" and Israel's advent has made a lot more sense this year, and I can't stop combing through the lyrics. Sometimes those 12th century Latin composers just get it right, ya know?

ReplyDeleteIs it weird that I am crying after watching that video? Yesterday morning I was looking out the back door and the sky was just brilliant, red and purple and blue and I was thinking of that very first Christmas. Again I started to cry, to think of what Mary must have gone through, so young, giving birth in a stable, no mid-wife or mother or any women to help. And she did it because she had faith and she knew that God was with her and her Son would change the world. Merry Christmas!
